About the role
[p][u][b]ABOUT THE ROLE[/b][/u][/p][p]The Household of The Prince and Princess of Wales supports the official and charitable work of The Prince and Princess. [/p][p] [/p][p]As the Correspondence Specialist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in relation to correspondence received by Their Royal Highnesses. [/p][p] [/p][p]You will work closely with the Private Secretaries Office, the in-house Communications and Visits & Events teams and the general Correspondence team at Buckingham Palace. You will be responsible for managing the Household’s correspondence process, providing suggestions for improvements, and providing timely, well written bespoke responses to letters received in relation to TRH subject areas. You will also work closely with the Gifts & Inventory and Records & Archives teams. [/p][p] [/p][p]This role will have exposure to many different and interesting portfolio areas and will liaise with external organisations, local authorities, government and charities. [/p][br/][p][color="black"]The role is predominantly based at Kensington Palace, however there will be a requirement to travel to other Royal Households within the U.K. to fulfil the duties of the role. [/color][/p][p]This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week worked Monday to Friday.[/p][p]This role may encompass such other hours that are necessary for the proper fulfilment of duties, and to meet unexpected or urgent demands.[/p]
About you
[p][u][b]ABOUT THE PERSON[/b][/u][/p][p]You will have previous experience in working in a comparable role, whereby you have been responsible for leading a similar process, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and drafting well written correspondence. [/p][br/][p]You will have excellent communication skills with a flair and passion for written correspondence. You will have the ability to understand and interpret complex portfolio related information and be able to make decisions about appropriate responses and courses of action. You will have the ability to liaise easily with a wide range of individuals and stakeholders, internally and externally, including very senior. [/p][p] [/p][p]You should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive with strong administrative and organisational skills. You should have the ability to manage multiple subject areas and large volumes of correspondence. [/p][p] [/p][p]You will have the ability to remain calm and perform under pressure to strict deadlines. You will be able to direct processes, offer advice and guidance and be comfortable taking feedback.
