We are recruiting a Communications Administrator to provide administrative support to the Deputy Communications Secretary and wider Communications team, including handling calls and incoming correspondence, diary management, preparing written materials for digital and social media and planning and supporting with reconnaissance visits and Engagements in the UK and overseas. Duties will also include: ensuring the smooth running of the Communications Office; co-ordinating the Office diary; maintaining the contacts database; managing office supplier accounts; and acting as the point of contact for enquiries from media, external organisations and internal departments.    

 

The successful candidate will ideally have previous secretarial and administrative experience within a press or PR office, although not essential. Prior experience including: drafting correspondence and experience of managing complex diaries. You will have excellent organisational skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, a pro-active and flexible approach and be used to working in a calm and efficient manner. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to deal with a broad spectrum of people.

This role is on a two year fixed-term contract basis.
