Communications and Events Intern

The Prince of Wales's Charitable Fund
The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project
St. James’s Palace
Internship

The Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) was established by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2004 to mobilize action and leadership by the finance and accounting community to drive a fundamental shift towards resilient business models and a sustainable economy.

A4S has three core aims that underpin everything we do:

-  Inspire finance leaders to adopt sustainable and resilient business models

- Transform financial decision making to enable an integrated approach, reflective of the opportunities and risks posed by environmental and social issues

- Scale up action across the global finance and accounting community

The Communications and Events Intern will work closely with other members of The Prince's Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) team, supporting the effective delivery of the A4S strategy in line with its mission to make sustainable decision making business as usual. Key areas of focus will include: supporting the development of content for communications activities; research and administrative support for A4S events (including the high profile A4S Summit) and providing support around engagement activities. You will have a wide range of opportunities to develop new skills, including technical, presentation, communication and organisational in a dynamic environment. One of the things that makes this role unusual for an internship is the opportunity to meet very senior representatives from the finance and business world, and to gain first hand an understanding of actions being taken by them and their organizations to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy.

The Communications and Events Intern will be based in a fast moving and innovative team and the role will support a diverse range of work streams. You must, therefore, have a proactive and flexible approach to your work and be able to show plenty of initiative. You will have a high level of attention to detail, strong verbal and written communications skills and be able to effectively prioritise your own workload. You need to be proficient in Microsoft Office and have a university degree or equivalent work experience. Event experience would be highly desirable as would experience of working with data and an understanding of business and finance. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and interest in corporate responsibility and its role in creating a sustainable economy.
