The Operations Intern will be part of a fast moving and innovative team. As A4S grows the role will support the development of our operational systems, and will also support the administration of both A4S and its parent organisation, The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund (PWCF). You will work closely with other members of the A4S team and the key areas of focus will include:

  • Facilitating the PWCF grant allocation process.
  • Assisting the A4S office manager in the smooth running of the office environment and in supporting the senior team.
  • Undertaking specific projects to improve the processes and efficiency of A4S and PWCF – for example: ensuring the smooth transition to a new IT system by working with teams to tidy up their data; helping teams collate and report on their performance; creating standard templates that can be used across the teams.

The role will also provide a variety of opportunities to develop new skills within a dynamic team environment. These will include technical, operational, communications and project management skills.

There will also be the opportunity to learn about ways to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy, in particular in relation to the role of companies and finance.

You must have a proactive and flexible approach to your work. You will need good attention to detail, with strong verbal and written communications skills. You must be able to show plenty of initiative and to prioritize your own workload. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office, be organised and professional in your approach with a ‘can do’ attitude and an interest in making processes and systems work efficiently and effectively in a dynamic environment.

Please note, applications will be considered upon receipt and interviews may be arranged before the closing date. Therefore, early submissions are encouraged.
