Applications are invited for an Operations Manager, within The Prince's Countryside Fund (PCF), based in London (N1).

Under the strategic guidance of the Director and Trustees, the Operations Manager will manage the PCF on a day to day basis, supporting the overall strategy of the Fund. The Operations Manager will have line management responsibility across the team, and will lead, inspire and motivate individuals to achieve results and provide for their specific development needs.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • develop the charity's systems, processes and budgets to ensure a professional, efficient and timely delivery on all activities across the Fund;
  • represent the PCF at senior level, deputising for the Director as required;
  • oversee all events, programmes, forums and workshops , ensuring delivery of stakeholder and beneficiary objectives;
  • supervise the Fund’s grant giving and communications strategies;
  • support with Governance activity;
  • contribute to research and briefing papers;
  • identify new project opportunities and develop delivery capability.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of rural affairs, together with strategic knowledge of grant giving and charitable governance.

Candidates should have strong track record of project management, ideally within the not for profit sector, supported by excellent communication and organisational, planning, prioritisation and time management skills.

Experience of leading and developing a team, alongside outstanding relationship building, networking and negotiating skills with previous involvement of working with a board and/or senior management level committees is essential.

The role will require regular travel throughout the UK, with some overnight stays.
